Route one: browser and broker app
The web terminal plus the broker's own application covers manual trading completely and requires no workarounds. This is the right default for discretionary traders.
Route two: virtualisation
Running Windows in a virtual machine gives full MetaTrader functionality including expert advisors. On Apple Silicon this means an ARM Windows build, which works but adds cost and setup time.
Route three: a hosted VPS
A Windows VPS accessed over remote desktop is often simpler than local virtualisation, and it keeps automated strategies running when the Mac is closed.
