What the main indices represent
US30 tracks thirty large US industrials and is price-weighted, so high-priced shares dominate. SPX500 is a broad market-cap-weighted benchmark. NAS100 is technology-heavy and the most volatile of the three.
Cash versus futures pricing
Cash index CFDs trade around the clock with swap applied nightly. Futures-based CFDs have expiry dates and no nightly swap, but need rolling. Know which one you are trading before planning a multi-week hold.
Session and gap risk
The largest and most reliable moves come during the US cash session. Positions held over the close can gap on earnings and overnight news, so stops do not guarantee the exit price.
